The 5th Annual Asian Human Rights Training and Study Session organized by the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) and the Center for Social Development Studies (CSDS), Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University will take place from October 7-27, 2001 at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. The purpose is to provide a comprehensive human rights course for activists in the region. The session is open to applicants from the countries in Asia. Persons working in the field of human rights, social justice, development and peace are encourage to apply. The program strives to achieve gender balance in the selection of the participants. Total cost of the study session for 3 weeks exclude travel expense is US$2,000.00. FORUM-ASIA provides limited number of full scholarships, which includes the cost of the study session and travel expenses.The remaining are expected to raise their own funds for attending the study session. However, to those who are unable to raise the full cost of the study session, Forum-Asia may be able to waive part of the cost. Please circulate the brochure to members of your organization and others who would be interested in attending the session. Please complete and send the application form, letter of recommendation by June 30, 2001
